Victoria Secret Vancouver

So this is the first Victoria Secret to open in Vancouver. It's located on Burrard and Robson (the old HMV). It's the second largest location in the world. I'm actually surprised they hadn't opened one sooner. I'm sure lots of ladies are happy its finally here. I walked by on the opening day but the line was massive, I decided to wait a few days and just my luck Victoria Secrets "Angel" Lindsay Ellingson was making an appearance.

This store carries a wide selection of lingerie, swimwear, sportswear, fragrances, cosmetics and lotions. They also have their line PINK, most comfortable lounge wear ever! I'm obsessed with their body mist and lotion - Love spell (have been for years). I've also heard lots of good things about their makeup so I will be purchasing soon! This store is so glamourous, be sure to check it out!

Reviving Gel Eyeliners

Hey guys, so I'm sure a lot of you have probably had this problem too. My Bobbi Brown gel liner has started to dry out!! I absolutely loved it when I first got it, the application was smooth and effortless. But after a few months of using it, it started to dry out and leave black crumbles.  Now it takes double the amount of time and it looks cakey. I know it happens with most gel liners regardless of which brand your using. I've tried many different ones and I still have the same problem.

Well, I did some research and tested it out on my gel liners and I think this works!

My Methods
- Make sure you always close the lid tightly ( I usually forget when I'm in a rush going somewhere..oops)
- Add a drop of baby oil, It will give it moisture. (Vaseline also works)
- Heat it up ( put it in the microwave for about 10 seconds) don't over do it!

After I do these steps my gel liner is good to go! If you have any other methods you think may work better or have a favorite gel liner, please leave a comment and let me know!

YSL lipstick

Hey everyone! so the lipstick I'm wearing here is by Yves Saint Laurent in color #30. It's a peachy nude color. This lipstick is extremely creamy and smooth. When you apply it literally glides on your lips and feels like butter. The pigmentation is like none other, It smells amazing and the packaging is beautiful! I want to buy every color just so I can display my collection. The only con is the price, since it is a highend brand these products are pricier. Products by YSL can be purchased at Sephora or Holt Renfrew.

I recently purchased a set of 6 different eyeliners from Sephora. I want to test them all out before I do a review and let you know which one is my favorite. The one I'm wearing in this photo is by Eyeko. I love it!  Keep you posted on the rest.

Shaping & Filling in your Eyebrows

Shaping and Filling in your eyebrows is important, but before you determine your shape you should figure out what your face shape is, because not all eyebrow shapes look good on everyone. Once you have determined your face and eyebrow shape you can fill them in. Some products you can use are an eyebrow pencil, matte eye shadow (applied with an angled brush) or you can get an eyebrow kit. Make sure not to make your eyebrows darker than your actual hair color! Try and go 2-3 shades lighter. If you have lighter hair you should go 2 shades darker.

I'm currently using an eyebrow pencil by Laura Mercier in Warm Brunette. I love it!! The only thing with eyebrows pencils is that it can create harsh lines, so make sure you blend! I find when I dont fill in my eyebrows in photos it looks like they're not there. So for me doing them is a must! You can purchase this at Sephora. Click Here

Other products I recommend for your eyebrows

Other things you made need are some brow tools such as tweezers, brow brush (lots of eyebrow pencils have them attached at the end) and eyebrow scissors to trim.

Nars Albatross Highlighting Blush

This NARS highlighter is a sheer blush with a golden sheen undertone, it gives your skin a nice glow. I apply at my cheek bones after Im done highlighting with my prep + prime  by MAC. The way it reflects is so pretty! It does have shimmer so I would use this more if you were going out at night (not an everyday look). You can use it to highlight, mix it with other blushes or wear it alone. I love all the NARS blushes so If you haven't tried them already you should check them out. If you're interested in purchasing they sell this product at Sephora. Click Here

Via Tevere Pizzeria

If your looking for authentic Italian pizza, this is it! Its a hidden gem in a quite random location. Its on Victoria and William St. (In Vancouver). Its on a residential street, so its the only restaurant around. I always drive by this place and I always say I want to try it. Well I finally did. I went for one of my best friends birthdays and we all loved it. The food was amazing, and the restaurant is really cute. There was a bit of a long wait to get a table but it was worth it.

I got Quattro Formaggi, It was phenom! We also got  Friturra Napoletana for an appetizer which was little samples of deep fried risotto, mash potatoes, mini pizza served with a side of marinara sauce. We really wanted to try Graffe with Nuttela cause a friend recommended it but it was sold out, apparently it sells out every night and you have to order it right when you get there. Instead we got the Tiramisu which is my favorite dessert.

Good times with good friends.

Daily Skin Care

At the moment the products I'm using for my daily skin care are by Kielh's.  I use  a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. Their products use natural ingredients and range from about $10-$90.  They have different collections, the one I use is called Ultra Facial. They sell travel sizes, so if you just want to try it before buying a big bottle, that's a good option. They have their own store and also have a counter in the cosmetic section in Holt Renfrew. I've been using their products for a while and I love the way my skin feels. If you want to try a high end product I recommend La Mer, all the celebrities use it for anti aging.

My steps for use are:
1. Cleanser - cleanses skin while removing makeup.
2. Toner - removes remaining residue while balancing the PH levels of your skin.
3. Moisturizer - lightweight, leaves the skin soft and moisturized, can be used all day.

NYX Cosmetics

NYX Cosmetics originated in Los Angeles. You can now find these products at your local drugstore. Some places that carry this line here in Vancouver are London Drugs, Rexall, and Pharmasave. They are affordable, they are a part of PETA so they do not test on animals, and lastly are good quality. I've tried a couple products by NYX, and cant wait to try more. I've had my eye on the soft matte lip creme for a while, so I'm dying to try it. I've heard so many good reviews! I saw so many more colors that I need to go back and get, I also need to go back for the butter gloss!

Current Foundation Routine

These are the current products Im using for my daily foundation routine. Make sure you start with a clean and moisturized face.

1. Smashbox Photo Finish Primer- I apply by stippling over my face. This increases the longevity of foundation while minimizing pores and fine lines. Buy Here

2. Dior Airflash Foundation - I use color 300. This is an airbrush foundation so be careful not to spray too close to the hair line, or it will look like you have gray hair! After spraying I stipple the foundation with my beauty blender to make sure its all even. Buy Here

3. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer - I use color NW 25.  I take my Beauty Blender again and apply under my eyes and around my nose, because those are the spots that tend to get red and need correcting. Buy Here

4. MAC Prep + Prime - In color Light Boost. This is a Lighter shade than your foundation, You use this to highlight. I apply in a V shape under my eyes to brighten, Down the bridge of my nose and up into my forehead a bit. This will make the nose appear thinner and more defined, and lastly I apply on my cupids bow. Buy Here

5. MAC Cream Color Base - In color Mid- Tone Sepia. I use this to contour. I apply at the cheek bones in a line and blend out. This will define your face and make it appear slimmer. I also apply at my nose and make a line down on the two sides of my bridge, to also give the appearance of a slimmer/longer nose. Make sure to blend, blend, blend. You don't want to be able to see the dark lines. Buy Here If you don't want to use a cream, I also use my bronzer to contour - Too Faced Bronzer in color Sun Bunny. Buy Here

6. Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder - I use this in the areas I just applied my MAC prep + prime.  This powder will set the makeup. Its in a light yellow, so I like to use a translucent powder for the rest of my face. Buy Here

7. MAC Fix + - Ever since I tried this product I've been obsessed!! I use this after Im done applying all my makeup. I notice after I apply powders the skin looks dry. So this will do the trick! Its gives hydration while setting the makeup and leaving a dewy finish to the skin. Buy Here

I talked about using a Beauty blender, to apply my Foundation and Concealer. Its amazing, way better than other sponges and you can wash it and reuse it. Buy Here

Mascara Routine

This is my favorite mascara, Its by L'oreal paris - Telescopic Carbon Black. Its by far the best one I've tried, even better than a lot of the high end ones. You can purchase this at any drugstore, and it goes for about $10. Best thing is they are always having sales on their products. Although I do prefer to wear false lashes when Im going out, this is what I do for a more casual look.

What I do to apply: First I use my eyelash curler by Shu uemura. I start the mascara wand right at the base, and work my way up the lash. Make sure to fan them out. I do 3 coats for a fuller more dramatic look.
