Hair Routine

Hello everyone, here's a quick post on my current favorite hair products. There's a few new ones as well as ones that I've been using forever. I'll start off by telling you my steps.

1. Nioxin Shampoo+Conditioner - I got mine in #3 which is designed for normal to thin chemically treated hair. I just started using this about a month ago and so far I'm loving it. Nioxin hair products promote longer and thicker hair. These products are recommended for people with thin hair or people experiencing hair loss, but they also do work great on normal hair or people that want thicker hair! It comes in a 3 step system. First step is shampoo (cleanser), it helps remove follicle clogging and also cleanses for thicker looking hair. Step 2 is conditioner, its lightweight and helps with moisture balance. So what I noticed after I got out of the shower was that my head felt weird. I had a tingling sensation on my scalp, but dont worry! Thats the feeling of the product stimulating the circulation on your scalp. The sensation goes away after a few minutes. Overall I have noticed my hair is starting to look thicker and longer! You can purchase this at many hair salons, the beauty supply store and I've also seen it at Winners.

2. Nioxin Scalp Treatment - This is the last step in the 3 step system. I spray this on my scalp after I shower. Make sure your hair is still damp. To tell you the truth I'm not sure if this step is completely necessary. I bought it just because it's the 3rd step and really want my hair to grow. Right now I'm seeing results. I'm not sure if its from the shampoo and conditioner or if its from all 3 steps. I'm going to continue using this just in case.

3. Moroccan Oil Treatment- It's an oil that helps repair and strenghten your hair. For application I apply from mid length and down. I apply a little when my hair is damp and also when it's dry. It gives moisture to my ends and prevents it from feeling brittle. Love this! Moroccan oil products can be purchased at the beauty supply store or hair salons.

4. Nioxin Deep Repair Hair Masque - This is a deep conditioning treatment. I use it once a week. I apply all over my hair and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It leaves my hair feeling so soft. I recommend a deep conditioning treatment for people that dye their hair or have damaged hair.

5. Moroccan Oil Hairspray - I'm not huge on hairspray, I hate when they leave your hair so hard and crunchy. I haven't tried that many, this one works great for me and it smells amazing.

That pretty much sums up my current hair routine. If you have any suggestions on products I should try please leave me a comment :)

Earth Science Eye Makeup Remover

Hey guys, so a while back I did a review on a high end vs. cheaper eye makeup remover. The high end one worked great and I loved it. The only con was that it was about $35. The cheaper one was from Sephora and cost me $10. Problem was that it didn't work for me at all. I promised I would look for an affordable eye makeup remover that worked just as good as the Lancome Bi-facil. Well guess what!? I found one. It's by Earth Science, It's the Chamomile & Green Tea Eye Makeup Remover. It is officially my favorite makeup remover. I am obsessed!! It takes all my makeup off without  a struggle and the best part is that it's only $10. Let me tell you a little bit more about it. Earth Science is a natural skincare company. They do not test on animals and they have been around for over 30 years. Unlike most eye makeup removers this one has a gel-like consistency. It doesn't irritate my eyes, it's very gentle and it doesn't leave any residue on the skin. For application I put a little on a cotton pad and simply wipe... and tah-dah! Its all gone. I hope this information was helpful. If you interested in buying this product I bought mine at Pharmsave, they also sell it at other organic health stores. If you're wish to purchase this online, here is the link. Click Here

Eye Makeup

So I was bored today so I decided to do my makeup. Sorry the photos aren't the best quality. I'll try and take some better ones next time. All the eyeshadows are by MAC. I love mac eyeshadows they are so pigmented and they pretty much have every color to choose from. Great selection!

Steps to Application:
1. Apply primer to your lids (optional) Most of the times I don't, maybe its because I haven't found one that I really love yet.
2. I applied the pink color all over my lids (Maira's Mood)
3. I applied a brown to the crease. I started from the outer corner and follow the arch. (I believe it says Espresso, Its kinda rubbing off)
4. Apply a light color to highlight the brow bone. I also apply some in the inner corner of my eye  (Sweetlust)
5. Lastly for eyeshadow I apply a black to the outer corner. It gives the smokey look. depending on where you're going apply as little or as much as you want. In this photo I barley used it (Carbon Black)
6. Liquid eyeliner (Eyeko
7. Pencil liner on my bottom lid (NYX)
8. Mascara on my bottom lashes (L'oreal Telescopic)
9. Lashes (Ardell)

High Tea - La Petite Cuillere

So today I went for High Tea for the first time. It was so cute! I am now obsessed and want to try out more places. Its the perfect thing to do on a sunday. The place we went to is called La Petite Cuillere which is located around Main and Broadway in Vancouver. Everything is set up really cute and served in their fine china. They have different options of high tea that you can order each one comes with different things. We ordered the "High Tea" it was $13 per person and it came with two miniature sweets, two finger sandwiches, a mini scone and you get to choose from one of their premium loose leaf teas. We got Earl Gray Cream.  This is available Friday-Sunday. Check out their website Here

Alright so Im clearly behind, I think I may be the only person who hadn't tried a macaroon. Well I finally got to see what all the hype was all about. It was pretty good but this wasn't my favorite flavor I think if I tried different kinds I would like it better.

Laura Mercier Primer

I'm so happy I finally bought this again. For a while I was using the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer but I think the Laura Mercier primer works a lot better for me. A lot of people rant and rave about the Smashbox primer so I'm sure it works great on other people. Alright well let me tell you about the Laura Mercier Radiance Primer. First off I absolutely love it! Laura Mercier invented the industry's first foundation primer in 1995. I think she carries about 5 different types of primers so you're able to pick one that suits your skin type. I got mine in Radiance. Its a lightweight gel that primes the skin before you apply foundation. It reduces the appearance of pores/fine lines and makes your makeup last longer. I love the finish of it, it makes your skin feel so smooth. Radiance has a pearl tint to it, so it gives the skin an illuminating glow. Its the perfect amount of pearl tint without making it look shimmery. I definitely recommend this primer! I got mine in the smaller bottle for $24, but they also do carry a big bottle that's $40. You can purchase this at Sephora Click Here or Holt Renfew. While I was at Sephora I saw the Hourglass primer which I'm going to go back for, so i'll keep you posted and do a review on that.

Naked Palette by Urban Decay

This is the Naked Palette by Urban Decay. There is also a Naked 2 and Naked Basics which I have not yet tried. I've had this palette for so long and I absolutely love it. The packaging is great, it comes in a really cute velvet fabric case. This palette is great for traveling. How annoying is it when you have to bring 20 different eye shadow pots not to mention if you drop one and it smashes your going to get furious. I've dropped my palette before and everything was still in perfect condition. TRY not to drop it tho lol.

This palette comes with 12 different shades that you will probably use everyday. They are mostly neutral tones but you will find some to make a nice smokey eye for night time. They are super pigmented and this palette will last you a long time.

This also came with an eye shadow makeup brush. I think its really good quality brush and I use it all the time. Great thing about this palette is that there's a compartment to keep your brush so you always know where it is and you don't lose it.

Lastly it comes with an eye shadow primer, but to tell you the truth I never use it. I think I've used it maybe once?

The price for this product is $60. Its so worth it in my opinion because I think it works out to be $5 an eye shadow plus you get the primer and makeup brush. You can purchase this at Sephora. Here the link Click Here

Skydiving

If you know me, you know I'm a total adrenaline junkie. I am obsessed with extreme sports. So for my boyfriend's birthday, I decided to take him skydiving. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea or not because I know a lot of people would never do it. Well, we went over this past weekend and we both loved it! We want to go again! I thought it was going to be at least a little scary especially the part when they open the door and you have to jump out, but surprisingly it wasn't at all!!! It was the most amazing feeling ever, especially the free fall. I've done other extreme things like bungee jumping and in my opinion I thought that was scarier (crazy I know). You would think jumping out of a plane would be. I recommend this to anyone that loves rides, extreme sports, or if your just feeling spontaneous. I am now looking for something to top this off so if you have any suggestions feel free to leave me a comment.
YOLO ;)

About to jump

I look so happy

Ain't Laurent Without Yves

How cute is this statement t-shirt? I recently ordered this online. I think t-shirts with leggings and booties look so cute. Its a perfect fall outfit. Some of you may be wondering what this saying even means. Well... Its talking about Yves Saint Laurent a famous fashion designer. He is known for his iconic YSL logo. His YSL logo is on purses, shoes, cosmetics and many other things. I blogged about his lipsticks a few posts back. He passed away in 2008 and Hedi Slimane took over as creative director. He decided to change the name from Yves Saint Laurent to Saint Laurent. A lot of people were not impressed by this move and still continue to call it YSL (I know I do). Its like them changing Louis Vuitton to Vuitton all of a sudden... Not cool..lol.  To order online Click Here or to read about the name change Click Here

L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation

After hearing all the reviews from my favorite beauty bloggers, I finally decided to purchase the L'oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder foundation. Its light to medium coverage, but you can build it up by layering it. I prefer to wear this type of foundation in the day and fuller coverage at night. The consistency is extremely runny (make sure to shake well before application or it will be like water). I haven't tried the Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation but a lot of people say its comparable. (L'oreal owns Giorgio Armani, so I guess it makes sense). I usually use the beauty blender to apply my foundations, but for this foundation sponges and brushes are not recommended. Using your finger tips will give you a better finish. You can purchase this product at any drug store. They range from about $15-20 depending on where you go and they have about 12 different shades.I got mine in shade 326 True Beige. The only downside to this product is the packaging, because a lot comes out of the bottle if your not careful, (wish it was a pump instead).

Vegas LDW

Hey loves, so I know this isn't beauty related but I thought I would share anyways. So over this past long weekend me and my boyfriend decided to head to Las Vegas for some end of the summer partying. We met up with a couple friends there and we all had an amazing time. I've been to Vegas quite a few times, but this weekend for Labor Day was insane. It was crazy busy, which means there was good events happening everyday. We stayed at the Monte Carlo Hotel which I recommend, its pretty central to everything and it has the tram that will take you to Bellagio in minutes. Here are some pictures to sum up our trip.

This is at Minus 5 Ice Bar, its located inside the Monte Carlo. This was such a cool experience, I definitely recommend this place. They give you a parka and uggs before you go inside. Inside everything inside is made out of ice. The seats, cups, bar and walls, they even have really cool ice sculptures. They have locations in different cities as well.

This was at Wet Republic Ultra Pool Party for Calvin Harris. Its in the MGM Hotel. This party was unreal. I love pool parties!

XS for David Guetta! I've been to XS many times before and I've never seen it this crazy! The club was at capacity by 11:30!!

Mon  Ami Gabi -This restaurant is phenom! The view faces the bellagio fountains and the food is amazing! *This is a must go to* We actually went twice cause we liked it so much. Located in Paris.
