If you don't already know, washing your hair everyday is not very good for your hair. It dries out your hair, so unless its dirty there's no need to wash it. I'm speaking on behalf of myself. Everyone has different hair types, so what might work for me might not work for someone else. The thicker, curlier, more processed hair you have, the longer it can go between washes. My hair is pretty thick and has been chemically processed. I wash mine every other day to 2 days. You can go more or less, just use your judgement.
So.. what do you do when you have just gone to the gym or notice your hair is starting to look oily? Well dry shampoo is great for in between washes. It absorbs oils, helps the hair stay fresh, gives voluminous hair and also gives a freshly washed scent. I love to keep this in my purse. I use to work in the restaurant industry, and the worst was getting off work and having your hair smell like food! Well if you have that problem here's your answer.
The dry shampoo that I'm currently using is Dove Refresh+Care. It comes in an aerosol bottle. I got it from the drug store (Shoppers Drug Mart) and paid about $3 for it. There are many other higher end products you can purchase but in my opinion this works great, plus I rather spend more on shampoo and conditioner. Dry shampoo is for in between washes it should not replace shampoo. The fragrance of this product is great, I think most people would like it. For application shake the bottle well and hold about 8-10 inches away from your hair. Spray directly onto your oily roots. Make sure your not too close or else your hair might look white. This is also great if you want to add a bit of volume at your roots.
